Accompanist


Maureen Nielsen
has been an active member of Prince George's musical community as both a teacher and accompanist for over twenty years. She studied in Victoria with Edward Parker for several years, during which she earned her A.R.C.T. (Teacher's & Performer's), L.T.C.L., and Bachelor of Music Degree. She owns and teaches full-time at Classic Touch Piano Studio, and accompanies the Bel Canto and Northern Voices Choirs as well as the Cantata Singers. In addition to these choirs, Maureen works with the Quinson School choir, the Tapestry Singers, numerous soloists, performs chamber music, and enjoys some keyboard work with the Prince George Symphony Orchestra. Previous musical experiences include musical theatre productions such as Fiddler on the Roof and My Fair Lady, touring throughout North America and Europe with treble choirs, and performing as a soloist with the PGSO.
